"Memorial Day is May 26. This is a federal holiday to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Ceremonies are held and people visit cemeteries to decorate graves with American flags and flowers. The Memorial Day weekend also serves as the beginning of the summer season. Find an event near you to honor and reflect upon the sacrifices made by military men and women or to spend time having fun with family or friends."
